Registration
You can register via the Dutch National Tile Removal Championship website. Please indicate how many tiles you have removed. Then send an email to duurzaam@rijssen-holten.nl with:
- the number of square meters of tiles you would like collected; proof that you have registered the tiles for the Dutch National Tile Removal Championship;
- the date on which the Tile Taxi should come by;
- your address.
You can place the tiles out the day before at the spot where you also present your waste container.
Good to know
Make sure there is about 50 centimeters (roughly two paving stones) of free space around the tiles to be collected so that the truck’s grabber arm can access them.
Green gardens to combat waterlogging and heat stress
The weather in the Netherlands is becoming increasingly extreme, leading to problems such as waterlogging and heat stress. More greenery helps prevent waterlogging and cools the environment when it’s hot. So remove those tiles from your front or back garden and replace them with plants or trees! To help you out, you can now also apply for a subsidy to green your garden. For more information about this subsidy, visit the page Subsidy for greenery and water.
