Survey on the Master Plan for Boornbergum
The Municipality of Smallingerland is working on a Master Plan for the future of Boornbergum. In previous discussions with residents about the Spatial Development Perspective (ROP) concept, many concerns, wishes, and conditions have already been gathered, such as the number of homes and the traffic situation. These topics will be further explored in the Environmental Impact Assessment (OER) and the Boornbergum Master Plan. The municipality believes it is important for residents of Boornbergum, Kortehemmen, and the edges of De Wilgen, the Trisken, and the Himsterhout to contribute their input. This week, therefore, an invitation will be sent to these residents to participate in a survey.
With this survey, we are seeking additional input for the Master Plan. The responses will help us make choices and develop different variants. In the spring of 2026, a second survey will follow, focusing further on the variants.
The survey can be completed until February 5. For residents who are unable to complete the survey digitally, paper copies are available at doarpshûs it Bynt in Boornbergum. The results of the survey will be summarized and can be found on the project page starting February 20, 2026.
Over the coming months, we will continue working on the Master Plan and will organize various participation moments for this purpose. The goal is to finalize the Master Plan by the end of 2026.
