Towards a successful clean-up week
From 16 to 21 March 2026, the Municipality of Steenbergen will organise its annual Clean-Up Week. Throughout the week, various activities will take place in the different districts. Saturday 21 March will be dedicated to the National Clean-Up Day, when residents and associations across the Netherlands will take to the streets to clean up their neighbourhoods. With 1,470 enthusiastic participants already registered, this year’s event promises to be a great success. Of course, everyone is welcome to sign up and lend a hand.
Numerous initiatives with over 1,470 participants
From Monday 16 to Friday 20 March, many schools in the Municipality of Steenbergen will organise clean-up activities. Students will work together to clean the streets around their schools, tidy up playgrounds and prepare parks for spring.
On Saturday 21 March, during the National Clean-Up Day, many associations and neighbourhood organisations will also take to the streets for a joint clean-up effort. The municipality will provide cleaning materials so that participants can get started properly.
2026 Programme
During the clean-up week, there will be 18 activities on the programme. This demonstrates how committed residents, associations and organisations are to keeping their neighbourhoods clean. Litter not only causes pollution but also has a negative impact on people, animals and the environment. By working together, neighbourhoods can be made clean again.
