Steenbergen participates again in the National Paving Slab Removal Championship
The Municipality of Steenbergen is once again participating in the National Paving Slab Removal Championship this year. During this nationwide competition, residents remove paving slabs from their gardens and replace them with greenery. Together, we are making our municipality greener, more beautiful, and more pleasant for both people and animals.
Last year, Steenbergen removed an average of 205.62 paving slabs per 1,000 residents, placing the municipality in the midfield. This year, we aim to do even better and are calling on residents, entrepreneurs, and organizations to join in. Remove paving slabs from your garden and replace them with flowers, plants, or a tree. Every slab counts!
Steenbergen’s Paving Slab Garden
This year’s National Paving Slab Removal Championship kicks off with a festive activity during the Zero Waste Festival on Wednesday, March 25. Visitors can collect a free Steenbergs Paving Slab Garden there. Bring a paving slab from your garden and register it via www.nk-tegelwippen.nl/tegelstand. This way, you contribute to a greener Steenbergen.

The Paving Slab Taxi is back on the road
Have you removed paving slabs from your garden? The Paving Slab Taxi will collect them for free (maximum 10 m² per address) on three occasions:
- Register before May 6 – collection on May 11
- Register before September 2 – collection on September 7
- Register before October 14 – collection on October 19
