Improvement of rainwater drainage in part of Bakkerstraat
On Monday, March 23, the municipality will begin work on Bakkerstraat to address the issue of rainwater nuisance. Currently, after heavy rainfall, water remains standing on the street for too long. This causes inconvenience, particularly because splashing water from passing cars enters some homes.
To resolve this, an additional underground pipe will be installed on the side of the even-numbered houses, in the section of Bakkerstraat between Meule and Hofstraat, to improve rainwater drainage.
Traffic measures
The work will take place on the side of the roadway, allowing the street to remain open to traffic. During the work, one lane will be closed at a time. The work is expected to last six weeks, until May 1. Some inconvenience is unavoidable.
