Municipal Election Results
On March 18, residents of Zaanstad were able to vote in the municipal elections. Polling stations closed at 9:00 PM on March 18. After that, we counted the votes each party received per polling station. Here you will find the preliminary results of this count.
The municipality of Zaanstad will centrally count the votes on Thursday, March 19, at the Topsportcentrum in Koog aan de Zaan. We will recount the votes per party and also count the votes per candidate for each party.
The results will be recorded in a minutes of proceedings. We will update this article on Friday, March 20, based on the outcomes of the central count. Once all results are known, all minutes of proceedings will be transferred to the central polling station of the municipality of Zaanstad.
The central polling station will verify whether the elections were conducted properly. On March 26 at 11:30 AM, there will be a public meeting in the council chamber of the town hall. At this meeting, the central polling station of the municipality will officially confirm the results.
