Ingrid Luijten receives royal distinction
On March 21, during a special concert in the Dorpskerk in Hoogvliet, Ingrid Luijten, a resident of Poortugaal, was appointed Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Mayor Cees Pille of Albrandswaard presented the distinction.
This royal distinction is an appreciation for her long-standing and dedicated commitment to music and society.
For 25 years, she has been active as a conductor of choirs and ensembles. In this role, she brings people together and encourages musical development and collaboration.

Additionally, she teaches General Music Education (AMV) to children, both at primary schools and in people’s homes. In this way, she introduces young students to music and contributes to their musical development.
