New municipal councillors of Ameland sworn in
During the public council meeting on Wednesday 1 April, the new municipal council of Ameland was officially installed. Prior to the swearing-in, council chairman and mayor Tytsy Willemsma addressed the new councillors.
The council chairman emphasised the importance of their role: “The municipal council forms the heart of our local democracy. It is here that decisions are made that directly affect the daily lives of our residents. This makes your work not only important, but also honourable.
