Results of the elections in Beverwijk
Beverwijk held elections for a new municipal council on 18 March. This morning, Mayor Smit announced the final results. In our municipality, a total of 27 seats are up for grabs. Each seat represents one person. The more votes a party receives, the more seats it gains, and the more of its members will be seated in the municipal council.
Voter turnout
16,465 voters cast their ballots, representing 48.29% of eligible voters. This turnout is below the national average (53.7%). However, it is significantly higher than in the previous municipal elections of 2022 (43.87%), an increase of 4.42%.
Seat distribution
Samen Lokaal emerged victorious with 7 seats. Vrij! came in second with 5 seats. They are followed by GROENLINKS / PvdA, VVD, D66, and Forum voor Democratie, each with 3 seats. CDA, DENK, and Ons Beverwijk each secured one seat. BVNL and GroenStaal! failed to win any seats.
