Wildflower field margins spring 2026
As in previous years, farmers and local residents in Borne, Haaksbergen and Hof van Twente can make their land available for the establishment of wildflower field margins. The scheme is once again made possible thanks to financial contributions from the municipalities.
It provides more insects and a more attractive landscape. In collaboration with ANV Hooltwark, part of your plot will be sown with nectar-rich flowers and herbs that promote biodiversity.
Farmers will receive compensation of €0.15 per m² for yield loss (up to a maximum of €500). Private individuals can participate for a fixed personal contribution of €100. The seeds and sowing will be arranged within the scheme. The available budget in the municipality of Borne is limited to €7,500.
Since this year, we have been working within the regional project in collaboration with Twentse Grond & Go for coordination in Southeast Twente. The implementation and coordination in Borne, Haaksbergen and Hof van Twente will continue in the familiar way via Hooltwark .
