“It's not just items we want to repair.”
Repair Cafés, a concept that originated in the Netherlands, bring volunteers together to repair household appliances, clothing, and bicycles for free. But their mission is much greater than just a simple repair. The volunteers bring memories to life, strengthen communities by welcoming newcomers, and inspire us to cherish what we have. In doing so, they provide a counterbalance to the ever-growing consumerism. Who comes to Repair Cafés? And what stories are shared? This is the story of people who repair much more than broken items.
