Vacancy: Land matters advisor (higher professional education legal) 32 - 36 hours
As a land matters advisor for the municipality of Bronckhorst, you work in an environment with beautiful and diverse tasks. In addition to ongoing projects, we are taking big steps in the development of new work locations and housing. Sometimes we are in charge, sometimes an initiative comes from the market, and it is precisely this variety that makes the work dynamic, meaningful, and requires a sharp eye and a solid legal basis.
Within this broad playing field, our Land Matters team is fully in development. We are growing from a situation without active land policy to an approach where we determine what is needed per task. At the moment that plans become concrete and legal guarantees are essential, you play a key role as a land matters advisor.
What will you do?
In this role, you contribute to the development of municipal policy by focusing on improving the execution and translating agreements into applicable and workable practice. You translate new laws and regulations into practical and workable solutions.
In addition, you work closely with our lawyers to ensure a solid legal basis for decisions and documents. You advise management and the board on dossiers in both rural and urban areas and ensure that decision-making is clear, complete, and well-founded. In doing so, you guide transactions regarding municipal land and real estate and translate them into clear board proposals and annual reports.
You keep track of the municipal land positions and ensure that available land is used effectively. You draft various agreements, from preliminary and intent agreements to purchase, leasehold, and building agreements, and ensure that they are substantively correct and align with the policy and ambitions of the municipality.
Because the Land Matters team is strongly developing, you contribute to improving processes, risk management, and quality assurance. You develop tools such as models and work instructions, create overview, and stimulate knowledge sharing within the team. In this way, you are a substantive driving force who supports colleagues and helps to further professionalize the field.
You work at the interface of policy, legal care, and execution. Not a lawyer's role, but a practical policy and advisory function with legal depth in a learning environment where you have a lot of room to help build.
In short: you play a central role in a dynamic field of work where policy, execution, and legal guarantees come together. In doing so, you can always count on the expertise and support of the team and the senior policy officer.
Who are we?
You will join the Living and Working cluster of the municipality of Bronckhorst. With around 40 colleagues, we work on themes such as housing, tourism, economy, landscape, monuments, traffic, and sustainability. Together, we strive for a livable, future-proof municipality.
At our organization, you work in an open and informal organization. Colleagues are there for each other, are proud of what they do, and welcome you with open arms. We believe in working together, learning from each other, and giving space to new ideas.
What do we offer you?
At Bronckhorst, we believe that people make the difference. Therefore, we offer you not only a nice workplace but also conditions that support, appreciate, and give you space to continue developing yourself. Therefore, you can count on the following:
- A salary of at least € 3,777 and a maximum of € 5,554 gross per month (scale 10) for a 36-hour work week (Municipalities CAO 2025-2027, salary table as of January 1, 2026). Your classification depends on your education, knowledge, and work experience. If relevant work experience is lacking, a starter scale is a possibility.
- An individual choice package (IKB) worth 17.05% of your gross salary, which you can use at your discretion as a supplement to your salary or, for example, for the purchase of extra days off.
- An employment contract of 32-36 hours per week, for the duration of one year with the prospect of a permanent contract, provided that we both feel that we are a good match.
- Reimbursement of travel expenses for commuting of € 0.23 per kilometer or, if you work from home, a home office allowance of € 3.25 per day.
- Pension accrual with ABP.
- Plenty of opportunity to develop yourself. For example, you can make use of the Bronckhorst Leert Door learning program. These are inspiring meetings and an online platform with e-learnings and short videos that you can follow.
- The opportunity to become a member of our cozy staff association.
