Farewell to eleven councillors
On Wednesday evening, 31 March, the Brummen municipal council held a fitting farewell for several councillors who will not return after this term. In a respectful and warm atmosphere, their dedication and involvement during the 2022–2026 period were commemorated.
During the meeting, all councillors shared personal anecdotes and experiences with and about each other. This not only reflected on their council work but also on their collaboration and the significance of the councillors for the Brummen community.
Appreciation
Mayor Rozendaal expressed his appreciation for the great dedication, involvement, and perseverance of the eleven departing councillors. “As representatives of the people, you have all dedicated yourselves wholeheartedly to the residents, entrepreneurs, and associations in our municipality,” the mayor said. “You have dealt with a wide range of, at times, complex issues. Despite differing opinions, you have made important decisions in good harmony. The ability to engage in meaningful dialogue with one another is a key value of a well-functioning council.”
