Second open evening on redesign of Dorpsstraat in Koekange
On Wednesday, 25 March, there will be a second open evening at community centre De Schakel in Koekange. Between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, you can come and discuss the design of Dorpsstraat.
Residents of Koekange have long wanted to renovate Dorpsstraat and improve the traffic situation. This is also a key priority from the Koekange Village Vision (2021). In September 2025, the working group – consisting of, among others, Dorpsbelangen, the entrepreneurs' association, and other involved residents – presented the first draft design together with the municipality. During the open evening and afterwards, many ideas were shared to enrich and strengthen the design.
The working group has incorporated these ideas and suggestions into an improved design and would like to discuss it with you. That is why there will be a second open evening on Wednesday evening, 25 March, at community centre De Schakel (Pr. Margrietlaan 1). This will give everyone who wishes to do so the opportunity to discuss the plans together.
The goal is to have a new, widely supported and future-proof design for Dorpsstraat in Koekange by mid-2026, from the village entrance in the south to beyond the railway crossing at Stationsweg. After administrative decision-making, preparations for implementation will begin.
