Temporary bike parking at Stationsplein in Deventer
The bike parking facility under Stationsplein in Deventer is currently undergoing a major renovation. ProRail and NS are doing everything possible to keep bike parking accessible for travelers during the construction work. For this reason, extra temporary bike parking spaces will be added to Stationsplein. Some of the spaces are already available, and all will be accessible from early April.
Extra bike parking spaces
Due to the renovation of the bike parking facility under Stationsplein, there is currently not enough space for all bikes. Therefore, a temporary bike parking area with approximately 750 spaces will be set up on Stationsplein.
Train travelers
The parking area is intended for train travelers and is not locked at night. To prevent nuisance and clutter, bikes may not be parked outside the designated parking areas. The municipality will enforce this, and NS will provide extra supervision.
Underground parking completely renovated
The underground bike parking facility will feature new bike racks, the floor will receive a new coating, and the walls will be repainted. The lighting will be replaced, as will the system for counting bikes in the parking area. The new layout of the parking area will improve (social) safety and provide more space for non-standard bikes.
