Closure of Wieldrechtse Zeedijk from 2 April 2026
From Wednesday, 2 April, contractor Ruigrok will install a barrier on the Wieldrechtse Zeedijk (WZD). From that date, the WZD between Aquamarijnweg and WZD number 104 will be closed. The road will remain closed to all traffic for 4 years.
The closure will be lifted once the Burgemeester Van der Dussenstraat leading to Rijksstraatweg at Distripark is completed. We expect this to happen in mid-2029.
Detour route
Due to the closure of the Wieldrechtse Zeedijk until 2029, a temporary detour route will be established via the Dordtse Kil III business park. The image below shows where the footpath connects to the Rijksstraatweg.
In the coming period, we will install yellow signs to clearly indicate the route for cyclists and pedestrians. The temporary footpath will be completed by the end of June 2026. This means that the detour route will not be available for a few weeks.
