First inclusive playground in Hingen
In Hingen, the playground on Hoogveldsweg has been renovated into the first inclusive playground and meeting place in the municipality. In 2025, the Hingen Playground Foundation already laid a special path to make the playground equipment accessible for children with disabilities and (grand)parents. Last weekend, the foundation, together with Alderman Kim Leurs, opened the renovated playground, which now also features play equipment suitable for children in wheelchairs or children who have difficulty walking. This way, everyone can join in the fun.
Playing, meeting, and participating
The playground also includes more seating and rest areas, as well as a water tap point. Alderman Kim Leurs: "The renovated inclusive playground shows what we can achieve together for a future where playing, meeting, and participating are central."
