News from the BOAs
Every two months, we, the extraordinary investigation officers (BOAs) of the municipality of Eersel, take you behind the scenes of our daily work and keep you informed about what’s happening and where we will be focusing extra attention in the coming period.
Retrospective
In the past period, we have again seen an increase in illegal waste dumping, mainly in the municipal forests of Knegsel. Items we have found include: tractor tires, car parts, stripped scooters, full garbage bags with household waste, and wooden planks. Of course, it is not the intention for this to end up in nature.
Furthermore, over the past week, we have provided support for several days to the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) of the Dutch Armed Forces, during which several World War II bombs were detonated.
Reports / extra attention
In the past period, we have received most reports about parking on grassy areas. This is not permitted. It damages the grass and makes it more difficult for our outdoor maintenance team to carry out their work on municipal green spaces.
We have also received many reports of illegal off-road motorcycling. We are addressing these reports together with SSIB (Samen Sterk in Brabant). Problem locations are regularly included in our patrols, including during evening and weekend shifts.
Keep an eye on the rural area together with us. If you notice any violations, you can report them to the municipality or directly to SSIB: www.eersel.nl/milieu-klachten
