Three years as mayor
Last week, Alain Krijnen marked exactly three years as mayor of our municipality. A significant milestone!
Mayor Alain Krijnen: “As mayor, you stand at the heart of society. Yet you may sometimes wonder: what does a mayor actually do? In this annual report, I’d like to give you a glimpse into my work. A highly varied role. From attending anniversaries and celebrating our rich traditions to collaborating with regional and international partners. But also moments of remembrance, reflection, and being there for one another when needed. What ties all these moments together is the people who make our municipality what it is: engaged residents, active associations, and enterprising businesses. Thanks to them, our municipality is a place where it’s good to live, work, and live together. With this annual report, I’d like to take you through some of the special moments from the past year.”
