Royal decorations for departing municipal councillors at farewell of 'old' municipal council in Epe

On Monday evening, 30 March, the municipality of Epe said farewell to the municipal council 2022-2026. Of the 23 councillors, 11 will return in the new municipal council. Four departing councillors—Albert Oortgiesen, Bertie Hendriks, Henk Boon and Kenan Aldemir—were awarded royal decorations for serving more than 12 years on the municipal council. Zwier van der Weerd had already been appointed Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau before he began his term as a councillor in Epe in 2014 and therefore did not receive an additional decoration. Mayor Tom Horn presented the awards.

Terms of service

Kenan Aldemir served as a councillor for Nieuwe Lijn from 2010 to 2025 and for Hart voor Lokaal from 2025 to 2026. Henk Boon, Bertie Hendriks and Albert Oortgiesen served on the municipal council from 2014 to 2026. Henk represented SGP-ChristianUnion, while Bertie and Albert both represented the CDA. Installation of new council on 1 April

The installation meeting of the new municipal council will take place on Wednesday, 1 April. It will be held in the Amfihal of the town hall and begins at 20:00. It can also be followed via the livestream on epe.raadsinformatie.nl/live (link is external).
