Farewell to council members and presentation of Royal decorations
Last night, March 31, we said goodbye to the outgoing municipal council. Several council members will not return. We therefore took a moment to reflect on their dedication, involvement, and everything they have done for our municipality.
Our thanks go to all departing council members: Yanick Cillessen, Laurens Hoetink, Andy Meerwaldt, Anke Sonnemans, Joy Hillebrand, Luc Brouwers, Hans Frentz, and Jacques van Bergen. Each of them has contributed in their own way to the future of Gennep.
Royal decorations
Two council members are not only departing but also received a special recognition: Jacques van Bergen and Hans Frentz have been appointed Members of the Order of Orange-Nassau. A fine appreciation for their many years of service to Gennep. Jacques served as a council member for our municipality for no less than 24 years, and Hans for 12 years.
To all departing council members: thank you for your dedication! And to Jacques and Hans: congratulations on this well-deserved decoration!
