Register for the 2026 Participation Prize
The Haarlem Participation Council is once again looking for initiatives that foster greater connections between residents. Partner organizations can submit an initiative until 23 April 2026.
The Participation Prize is awarded to Haarlem initiatives that contribute to caring for one another, participating in society, and an open and tolerant community. Residents, groups, organizations, and non-profit businesses are eligible to participate.
Prizes for small and large initiatives
As in previous years, we will award two prizes of €1,000 each. One prize is for a small-scale initiative, and one is for an initiative with a broader reach. Winners will use the funds to further develop or expand their initiative.
Submission and evaluation
Submissions can be made via the form (external link) on the website of the Participation Council. This is possible until 23 April 2026. Submissions will close earlier if the maximum of 30 entries is reached. The jury of the Participation Council will evaluate all submissions. The winners of the 2025 Participation Prize will assist in this process.
Celebratory award ceremony
The prizes will be awarded on Wednesday afternoon, 3 June 2026, at Wijkcentrum Binnensteeds, Nieuwe Groenmarkt 20 in Haarlem.
