Year of the Volunteer: More volunteers welcome at the Volunteers' Plume
Volunteers bring our villages to life. They help where needed and bring people together. Their dedication is of great value to the Hoeksche Waard. At the end of 2025, around Volunteer Day, the Hoeksche Waard municipality called on you to register for the Volunteers' Plume on April 11. This meeting was initially intended for volunteers who had registered at the time. Since 2026 is the Year of the Volunteer, we are making extra space this year for volunteers from the Hoeksche Waard. This way, we can thank more volunteers for their dedication.
Connection and stories
The Volunteers' Plume 2026 focuses on connection and stories. Behind every volunteer is their own story. Stories that inspire, touch and connect people with each other. During a special musical program, theater maker Tjerk Ridder will take you on a journey. With stories, music and film, themes such as origin, dreams, determination, loneliness, hospitality and trust come to life.
The Volunteers' Plume will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
