Key information for the municipal council elections on 18 March 2026
Next Wednesday, 18 March 2026, we will all go to the polling stations again. This time for the municipal council elections. Here is the most important information.
Polling stations
The polling stations will be open on 18 March from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM. All polling stations are accessible for people with disabilities.
Do you need help with voting? Ask the members in the polling station. They will gladly assist you.
What to bring
- your polling pass;
- an ID: this is a passport, ID card, alien's document, or Dutch driver's license. Your document may be expired for a maximum of five years.
Preliminary results
At 9:00 PM, all polling stations close and we immediately start counting the votes at the list and candidate level. This count is public and you can be present as a spectator. From 9:45 PM, we organize a cozy results evening with live music and the presentation of the interim results and preliminary outcome. Everyone is welcome to follow the results together and make a festive evening of it. Later in the evening, we will also announce the preliminary results via our website and social media.
