Process Verbaal
The complete election results, including the results per polling station and the 31 elected council members, can be found on the municipal council elections 2026 page.
Next steps
On March 31, the council will say farewell to the non-re-elected council members. The 31 newly elected members of the municipal council will be sworn in on April 1. Both meetings will begin at 8:00 PM in the municipal office in Lekkerkerk.
The current council will continue to serve in a caretaker capacity for the time being but will not take on any new major projects. The council will only change once a coalition has been formed. During the council meeting on April 2, the informateur (election mediator) will be appointed, and the coalition formation process will begin. Once this process is complete, the coalition will propose candidate aldermen to the municipal council. The coalition will also make agreements on the policy for the coming four years and formalize these in the coalition agreement. The coalition agreement and the annual program budget together form the general basis for the policy of the municipality of Krimpenerwaard.
It is unclear how long the coalition formation process will take. The first council meeting will be held on June 2.
