Public consultation on the intersection at Amphia site and public transport hub
On Monday evening, 30 March, the municipality will hold a public consultation.
The Municipality of Oosterhout is organising a public consultation on Monday evening, 30 March. During this evening, we will present the plans for the reconstruction of the Pasteurlaan–Strijenstraat intersection near the Amphia site and for the new public transport hub (the OV hub). We will also present the new layout for the Abdis van Thornstraat/Leijsenhoek/Veerseweg intersection. This intersection will be modified to ensure smooth traffic flow in the future.
The public consultation will take place on Monday, 30 March at Theater De Bussel, Torenstraat 10. You can drop in between 19:00 and 21:00 to view the plans and share your feedback.
Please note: this evening does not cover housing construction at the Amphia site. The Dutch Building Union held a separate meeting on this topic on 17 September 2025 at Theater De Bussel. On 27 January 2026, the municipal council adopted the development vision for housing construction. For more information, visit www.parclouis.nl.
Would you like to attend the public consultation?
We would like to know how many visitors to expect. Please register in advance and indicate how many people will be attending.
Submitting feedback in writing
If you are unable to attend but would still like to share your views, the designs will be available on www.oosterhout.nl from Tuesday, 31 March on the Housing construction projects/Amphia, Parc Louis (Pasteurlaan 9) page. You can submit your feedback until 13 April 2026.
Next steps in the process
The public consultation is the first step towards an implementable plan. The plan may still change based on residents' wishes, municipal requirements, legal regulations or decisions by the municipal executive and council. The plan presented now may therefore differ from the final plan.
If the municipality ultimately approves the plan, a statutory procedure will follow. During this phase, you will again have the opportunity to share your views on the plans.
