Artwork No Hate returns to Oude IJsselstreek
As in previous years, this spring the artwork No Hate will once again be on display at various locations in our municipality.
‘No Hate’ is a traveling corten steel sculpture and is an initiative by Austrian artists Alexandra Rangger and Bernhard Witsch. The municipality of Oude IJsselstreek aims with this artwork to create a municipality free of discrimination, hatred, and prejudice. The work encourages respect, understanding, and acceptance of diversity.
The letters feature various messages printed on them, such as ‘Liebe gegen Hass’ (love against hate) and ‘Vorsicht Hass’ (beware of hate). These messages come from artists with diverse backgrounds who were invited to create their own messages on this theme, ranging from images to word creations or short phrases. All contributions were then combined into one artwork that is approximately one meter high, seven meters wide, and forty centimeters deep. The work travels throughout Europe, and from April 1 to May 5, 2026, it will be on display at five different locations in our municipality.
