Free compost as a thank you for residents
On Saturday, March 28, it's time again for the annual Compost Day! On this day, the municipality distributes free compost. This is our way of thanking you for your efforts in separating vegetable, fruit, garden waste, and food scraps. Thanks to your help, this waste can be turned into valuable compost for your garden.
This year, there is a whopping 90 tons of loose compost available, and we are distributing 3,600 compost bags of 40 liters each.
Pick up free compost
Do you live in the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek? Then you can pick up free compost on Saturday, March 28, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM at the municipal depot at De Hogenkamp 10 in Ulft. Don't forget to bring your ID.
You can choose from:
- Loose compost
- For this, you will need a trailer. Your trailer will be filled with approximately half a cubic meter of compost using a (mini) shovel. Don't forget to cover your trailer with a load net or tarp.
- Compost in bags (40 liters)
- You may take a maximum of five bags with you.
