On-demand transport (Flex) coming soon to Reimerswaal
What is the Flex?
The Flex is on-demand flexible transport. The Flex is a taxi or (small) bus with a driver and operates seven days a week from 06:00 to 23:00. You can easily book a ride via the Reizen door Zeeland app or by phone through the Vervoercentrale (088 23 58 070).
Residents of Schouwen-Duiveland, Noord-Beveland, Walcheren, and Zeeuws-Vlaanderen are already using it. Soon, the rest of the Bevelanden and Tholen will also be connected, making the entire province of Zeeland accessible with the Flex.
The Flex travels a maximum of 25 kilometers per ride and, where possible, connects to public transport. This means you will soon be able to travel by public transport across Zeeland in the evenings and on weekends as well.
What can you already notice?
You’re seeing them appear in more and more places in the municipality of Reimerswaal: the green, teardrop-shaped signs with the word ‘hub’. But what exactly is a hub? A hub is a pickup point where you can take the Flex and, at larger locations, transfer to a bus, train, or ferry.
Where will the pickup points be located?
Pickup points for the Flex will be added at existing (neighborhood) bus stops. There will also be pickup points at new locations, ensuring that within the built-up area, everyone will have a pickup point within a 500-meter radius. Pickup points will also be set up at business parks. An overview of the additional pickup points is available at the bottom of this page.
When will the Flex arrive in Reimerswaal?
If everything goes according to plan, this will happen sometime in April. The exact date is not yet known. Further communication will follow once the date is confirmed.
