News from the BOA
Welcome to ‘News from the BOA’. In this update, published every two months, the BOAs of the municipality of Reusel-De Mierden keep you informed about what’s happening in the area. This way, you get a unique insight into the work carried out by the BOAs.
Notable reports
We regularly receive reports and complaints about nuisance. Under this heading, we highlight reports and actions that stood out in recent weeks.
Illegal dumping on Raamloop in Reusel
On Tuesday, 24 February 2026, an employee of the municipal outdoor services in Reusel-De Mierden discovered illegal dumping in the rural area along the Raamloop in Reusel. The outdoor services contacted the BOAs, who arrived at the scene. Based on multiple letters and other mail items, a suspect was identified for both dumping incidents. The suspect will soon have to account for their actions and will receive a formal report.
Recognising fake documents and ID cards
The BOAs recently completed training to better identify fake ID cards and documents. This helps us assess situations in the field more effectively and detect misuse more quickly. For you as a resident, this means we continue to invest in knowledge and skills to contribute to a safe and fair living environment in the municipality.
Enforcement in numbers
Transparency is important in our work. That’s why we are happy to share figures on the number of reports, registrations, fines, and warnings issued. This provides insight into the volume and types of reports. The figures vary widely, from youth nuisance to parking issues. Between February 2026 and March 2026, there were:
- 108 reports made via BuitenBeter (via the municipal website);
- 48 registrations* made by the BOAs;
- From these registrations, 4 fines were issued and 2 warnings were given.
*The number of registrations is significantly higher than the number of fines and warnings. This is because a registration does not always lead to a sanction. The BOAs use registrations, for example, to build case files for a structured approach to persistent nuisance or other issues.
