Invitation: Roermond looks ahead!
What would you do if power, internet, or water suddenly stopped working? And how can we help each other in such a situation? In the coming months, we will be hosting a series of discussion evenings on societal resilience. During these meetings, we will engage with residents, entrepreneurs, associations, and neighborhood organizations to discuss how we can better prepare together for emergencies. These "Roermond looks ahead" evenings are opportunities to share experiences, answer questions, and explore what you can do yourself and how we can support one another.
Why these evenings?
We have recently established the first emergency support points—locations where residents can turn for information and assistance if vital services like power or telecommunications fail for an extended period.
However, preparation starts with you and your own neighborhood. That’s why we’d like to discuss this with you. During the meeting, we will cover topics such as:
- what you can do to prepare for an emergency;
- how neighbors, associations, and businesses can help each other;
- the role of the municipality and emergency services;
- and how the emergency support points can assist in this.
