Personal invitations for Veterans Day Friesland to be sent in mid-April

Due to maintenance on the Veterans Registration System (VRS) of the Ministry of Defence, we are currently unable to receive address files from the Dutch Veterans Institute. As a result, it will unfortunately not be possible to send out the personal invitations for the Provincial Veterans Day on May 5 earlier than mid-April.
Once the system is available again, the invitations will be sent out immediately.
We understand that this is later than usual.

This year’s Friesian Veterans Day will again be held on May 5, in collaboration with Stichting Bevrijdingsfestival Fryslân, and is made possible in part by: Provincie Fryslân and participating municipalities.
The Veterans Day will take place at Wilhelminaplein/Zaailand in Leeuwarden (in front of the Fries Museum) in a large tent.
By choosing this location, we aim to create a more open atmosphere to encourage meetings between veterans and civilians. We would also greatly appreciate it if you could show on May 5 that you are a veteran (if applicable) by wearing your uniform and medals, so that you are visibly identifiable as a veteran.
