More shared cars in neighborhoods and villages
The number of shared cars in ’s-Hertogenbosch has grown significantly. Greenwheels has expanded its offering in our municipality from 27 to 57 cars. Thanks to this expansion, shared cars are now available in more neighborhoods and villages, such as Rosmalen and Nuland. Until now, shared cars were primarily located in and around the city center and near train stations.
Councillor Roy Geers (Mobility): “With the expansion into the villages and neighborhoods, there is almost always a shared car nearby. This makes it easier for our residents to use them and choose their own form of transport. Moreover, it is a sustainable way to travel. That’s a double win.”
What is a shared car?
A shared car is a vehicle used by multiple people. You don’t need to buy your own car but can use one when you need it. Shared cars are suitable for both short and long trips. They are parked at fixed, easily recognizable locations and can often be reserved via an app.
You can see where the shared cars are currently located on the map on the Greenwheels website.
Multiple providers in our municipality
In addition to Greenwheels, shared cars are also available from other providers. Several of them are also expanding their offerings. An overview of all providers, along with information on how to use them, can be found on the Sustainable Mobility page.
