Free CPR training: learn how to save a life
Imagine this: someone near you suddenly collapses. A parent, neighbour, or sports buddy. Every week, around 300 people in the Netherlands suffer a cardiac arrest. This is immediately life-threatening. With quick action (CPR), a person can survive.
In Sittard-Geleen, there is a strong network of AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillators). An AED is a portable device that helps during a cardiac arrest. It checks the heart rhythm and, if necessary, delivers an electric shock to restore a normal heartbeat.
To keep our municipality heart-safe, we need enough trained first responders. That’s why we regularly organise free basic and refresher CPR training sessions.
