You can now respond to the initial ideas
The DRC East involves the construction of a single underground pipeline, including technical installations. This pipeline will be used to transport CO2 from the German border near Venlo to Boxtel. The route will largely follow the area designated for this purpose in the Energy Main Structure Programme (the ‘PEH corridor’).
The image shows the planned route. A more detailed map of the PEH corridor is available on www.gasunie.nl/drc-oost. The exact location of the pipelines will be further refined in the next steps.
You can submit feedback on these initial ideas until 7 May 2026. Further details are available in the Intention and Participation Proposal document. This document also explains how you can be involved in the process. You can find it on www.rvo.nl/drc-oost. You can also submit your feedback on this webpage.
