Draft Water and Sewerage Programme Published
The municipal executive of the Municipality of Stadskanaal announces its intention, pursuant to Article 3.4 of the Environmental and Planning Act, to adopt a programme. To this end, it announces that the draft Water and Sewerage Programme will be available for public inspection for a period of six weeks, during which anyone may submit their views on it. The planning area covers the entire territory of the Municipality of Stadskanaal.
What is the reason for this?
The Municipality of Stadskanaal wishes to draw up the draft Water and Sewerage Programme 2026–2030 (hereinafter referred to as the WRP). In this WRP, we describe how we will fulfil our statutory duties concerning urban wastewater, stormwater runoff and groundwater. The programme also addresses the management of surface water. A brief executive summary of the WRP is also attached. This programme sets out the policy and measures for the coming years (2026–2030) and includes the justification for the sewerage charge. It is an environmental programme under the Environmental and Planning Act, meaning it aligns with the municipal environmental vision. The WRP is divided into a programme section (the texts) and the annexes.
