Modified waste collection on Easter Monday
On Easter Monday (Monday 6 April 2026), no waste or recyclables will be collected in the municipality of Steenwijkerland. The containers will be emptied on a different day.
The collection of organic waste (gft) scheduled for Monday 6 April will take place on Saturday 4 April. Please note, this is the Saturday before Easter. Does the modified waste collection apply to your address? It is possible that collection will take place at a different time than you are used to. We therefore ask you to place your container at the roadside before 7:00 AM on the day of collection.
