Royal honour for Guus Krom
On Tuesday evening, 31 March, Ms Guus Krom received a royal honour and the mayor’s badge upon her farewell from the municipal council of Uitgeest. After 28 years on the council, she was presented with the awards by Mayor Sebastiaan Nieuwland.
The municipal council of Uitgeest said goodbye to six councillors on 31 March. These councillors will not return on 1 April for the installation of the new council.
Uitgeester Vrije Partij
Guus Krom joined the municipal council of Uitgeest in 1998 as a member of the Labour Party. In 2001, together with the late Jan van den Berg, she founded her own political party: the Uitgeester Vrije Partij. For an impressive 24 consecutive years, Ms Krom served on the council with this party.
