Dutch National Tile Removal Championship 2026: Venlo Participates Again!
The Dutch National Tile Removal Championship 2026 is underway! The Municipality of Venlo is joining forces with fourteen other municipalities in Limburg. Every tile replaced with greenery makes a difference: less heat, fewer puddles, and increased biodiversity. By tackling this together as Limburg municipalities, we can make an even greater impact.
Stronger Together, Greener Together
Last year, Limburg proved that collaboration works. With nearly thirteen football fields of new greenery, the province made an impressive contribution to the national total. In Venlo, in 2025, we worked alongside residents, schools, and the drivers of the Tile Taxi to replace over 271,000 tiles with greenery. This earned us the Golden Shovel. The success has left us hungry for more. That’s why we’re once again joining forces across Limburg this year. We have a unified campaign and share knowledge and ideas.
