Win a green street: free front garden action
Do you live on a street with enough space for front gardens? As part of the National Paving Removal Championship, we are giving away three fun front garden days this year. Read here how you and your neighbours can qualify for one of these free green parties.
Green facades brighten up the street, ensure rainwater can better seep into the ground, and serve as a snack bar for butterflies and bees. In many places, residents are allowed to create a front garden, and to encourage this, we are giving away several front garden actions in the coming period. The winning streets will receive organic planting material, guidance from a green employee, tools on loan, and a cozy coffee cart on the action day.
To qualify, you need to get as many neighbours as possible to participate. Do you live in a rented home or a property managed by a homeowners' association? Then the landlord or the association must also agree. We will select one or more streets as winners for each action day, based on the residents' motivation, the location of the neighbourhood, and distribution across the city. The action days are Saturday, April 11, Saturday, May 30, and Saturday, September 19.
Want to join in? You can find all the information about the action and a registration form on the paving removal page. Together, we can make your street a little greener.
