New cooperation agreement between municipality and Wmo and Youth Advisory Council
On March 13, 2026, the revised cooperation agreement between the municipality of Vlissingen and the Wmo and Youth Advisory Council was signed. The college decided on March 11, 2026, to enter into this cooperation agreement for four years with the Advisory Council.
The cooperation agreement with the Wmo and Youth Advisory Council has been amended. The Stichting Werkgroep Gehandicapten Walcheren (SWGW) is no longer represented on the Advisory Council. There was no succession available from the SWGW. The SWGW remains involved in issues regarding accessibility and inclusion.
The obligation to organize an annual public meeting has been abolished. These meetings proved to be very labor-intensive, attracted few visitors, and sometimes took on an unwanted political tone. Furthermore, the advice from the Advisory Council is now directly published on the website, so that residents can more quickly gain insight into the advice given.
The cooperation agreement was signed by alderman Jeroen Portier and the chair of the Advisory Council, Ingrid Kleingeld.
