Installation of the new municipal council on 1 April
On Wednesday evening, 1 April (8:30 PM), the new municipal council of Voorne aan Zee will be installed in the Sint Catharijnekerk in Brielle. This installation coincides with the historical date of the Capture of Brielle in 1572, a pivotal moment in our history symbolising freedom and self-governance. Each year on 1 April, Brielle commemorates this liberation with an open-air play. This year, the evening will also mark the swearing-in of the new municipal council. In this way, we connect our history with the start of a new governing period. Mayor Scheepers will lead the installation in historical costume.
Both evenings can be viewed live on the website of the council information system of Voorne aan Zee.
