Survey and Open House for New Swimming Pool in Voorschoten
Have your say on the new swimming pool at Adegeest Sports Park. That is the invitation from the Voorschoten municipality to all residents. Starting today, both adults and young people can complete a survey. An open house event at Het Wedde swimming pool will follow on April 9.
Het Wedde swimming pool has reached the end of its lifespan. Additionally, the gas heating system is outdated. For these reasons, the municipal council decided at the end of 2025 to build a new swimming pool. It will be constructed next to the current facility, allowing Het Wedde to remain open during construction. Once the new swimming pool is completed, the existing one will be demolished. The new sports center will feature not only a swimming pool but also a sports hall.
Survey
“We obviously want the new swimming pool to best meet the needs of residents,” says alderman Hubert Schokker. “That is why we have created a survey with two versions: one for adults and one for young people. I hope as many residents as possible will complete it. The responses will help us build a modern, accessible, and future-proof new swimming pool.”
Open House
Residents who wish to learn more are welcome at the open house event at Het Wedde swimming pool on Thursday, April 9, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. You can receive one-on-one information from the project leader and advisors. Additionally, anyone interested can complete the survey on paper or online. As it is an open house, feel free to drop in at your convenience!
