Entrepreneurs invited for market consultation on community real estate
The Municipality of Voorschoten is working on a general interest decision regarding the rental of community real estate. Before making the decision, the municipality wishes to engage in dialogue with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders. To this end, it is organising a market consultation on Monday evening, 13 April.
In the general interest decision, the municipality will stipulate that buildings with a community function may be rented out at a lower, non-cost-covering rate. This includes sports facilities, community centres, neighbourhood centres, the library and locations for toddler day care and early childhood education. Real estate for commercial activities, such as childcare, does not fall under this.
Insight into possible effects
“Before the municipal council adopts the decision on 4 June, we would like to gain insight into the possible effects on the market and the parties involved,” explains alderman Pieter Varekamp. “Through this market consultation, we would like to engage in dialogue with entrepreneurs, commercial landlords, real estate professionals and others active in community real estate.”
Registration
Entrepreneurs and other stakeholders who expect the decision may have consequences for them are cordially invited to participate. The market consultation will take place on Monday, 13 April at 19:30 in Voorschoten. Registration is mandatory and can be done until Wednesday, 8 April, 16:00 via vastgoed@voorschoten.nl.
