Course on safe cycling for seniors in Waalre municipality
Discover the freedom of safe cycling well into your senior years! The municipality of Waalre invites seniors to participate in the special course "Safe Cycling for Seniors". This two-day course not only provides valuable tips for safe cycling, but also for your health and well-being.
Day 1: Cycling proficiency training by the Cyclists' Union
The first day of the course is led by an expert from the Cyclists' Union. You will receive explanations on safe cycling, traffic safety and practical tips to improve your cycling skills. There is a cycling circuit, a traffic quiz and special attention is given to the e-bike.
Day 2: Meeting with physiotherapists, dietitian and bicycle mechanic
The second day of the course is in collaboration with professionals from the municipality. Physiotherapists provide advice on movement and guide you on the cycling circuit. The Diet Team provides nutritional education. There is also a bicycle mechanic on hand for a professional check, so you can cycle safely on a properly functioning bicycle.

The course is offered in Aalst at DVS hockey, and in Waalre at RKVV Waalre. The course in Aalst takes place on Monday 30 March and Monday 13 April from 09:30 to 12:00. The course in Waalre takes place on Tuesday 31 March and Tuesday 7 April from 09:30 to 12:00. If you participate in the course, we expect you to attend both days.
