Invitation to Information Meeting on 15 April 2026
Posted on Tuesday, 24 March 2026
Have your say on the future of the northern edge of Waalre! The Brainport Eindhoven region, which includes the municipality of Waalre, is growing rapidly. This is what we call the scale jump. This means more residents want to live, work, and recreate here. That is why we need to look at how we can accommodate this growth within the available space in our municipality. In particular, we will be building and renewing locations along the northern edge of the municipality of Waalre.
Space for the scale jump in the municipality of Waalre has largely already been included in the Environmental Vision Waalre 2040. The environmental vision is our guide for questions and choices in the spatial domain. It explains what the municipality will need in the long term for housing, work, nature, traffic, and the safety and health of the living environment.
In some areas, the Environmental Vision is quite general. We want to be clearer about what we consider important. This will help us maintain control over (future) developments. In this way, we can continue to be a qualitative, green, and vibrant residential municipality. Various initiatives and plans have already been launched.
