They have also distributed the budget of €500,000 among these five themes. Round three starts on March 16. Everyone can submit ideas for the residents of the municipality of Waalwijk that fit the themes.

Alderman Sheila Schuijffel is delighted with the input from residents: “This year too, residents have enthusiastically participated in the Participatory Budget. Choosing themes may sound a bit abstract, but if you have an idea for your neighborhood or district, this is an important moment. I am very pleased with the active participation of our residents. There are incredibly many beautiful plans and ideas brewing in our society. I urge everyone to submit their idea from March 16 onwards!”
Round 3: Submit ideas
From March 16, residents, foundations, and associations can submit their ideas. Everyone can submit a maximum of two ideas. An idea for the Participatory Budget must of course be in the municipality of Waalwijk and yield something for the residents. Check out www.waalwijk.nl/burgerbegroting for more information and the rules. From March 16, you can submit your idea via this link!

Participatory Budget
With the Participatory Budget, residents themselves decide how we spend part of the municipality's money. Residents can participate in all rounds, but also only in the rounds they find interesting.

- Round 3. Submit ideas: March 16 to April 12.
- Round 4. Online voting: September 1 to September 30 online. On October 10, you make the choice together with other residents during the Voting Event at De Slagen.
