On Wednesday, 31 March 2026, Jacob van Altena received a Royal Honour after serving 12 years as a councillor and 4 years as an alternate councillor.
Mr van Altena became an alternate councillor in 2010 and a full councillor in 2014. His departure is, of course, regrettable, as he was third on the candidate list. However, he will return to his role as an alternate councillor, as he did in 2010.
