With this achievement, DTH takes an important step in further strengthening and professionalizing its enforcement officers and supervisors.
A number of enforcement officers from the Department of Supervision & Enforcement (DTH) are currently following the Bonaire Public Safety (OVB) training program. Part of this program is the BAVPOL (Special Police Officer) module, which focuses on maintaining public order and enhancing community safety. All participating DTH enforcement officers have successfully completed this module.
With this achievement, DTH takes an important step in further strengthening and professionalizing its enforcement officers and supervisors.
The training program began in January. During an intensive period, participants received training on topics such as supervision, enforcement, and public order. After successfully completing all components, all participants have obtained the module. This training provides Bonaire with an additional group of qualified enforcement officers who can contribute to a safe and livable community.
