TNO expects final air quality report for N203 later than announced
TNO has completed measurements along the N203 in Krommenie. TNO is now analyzing all the measurement results and preparing a final report. Contrary to earlier reports, the final report will not be published in April but in June. Analyzing all the data is taking TNO more time than expected.
The basic measuring station was installed near Vlietsend in November 2024. Its purpose was to measure air quality along the Provincialeweg (N203) in Krommenie. To provide a reliable picture, this station remained in place until February 2026. In addition, TNO installed two extra measuring stations from mid-April to mid-July 2025, further away from the N203: one near the St. Petrus Parochiekerk in Krommenie and another near sports hall De Springplank in Assendelft. By combining this data, it will be possible to assess the impact of traffic on Provincialeweg on air quality in Krommenie and Assendelft.
Results in June
Analyzing the measurement data is taking longer than initially anticipated. The final report will be presented to the public in June. The province will publish the report on its website as soon as it becomes available. In June 2025, initial results were already shared during a broadcast. More information will follow once the final report is ready.
